We have a selection of sea view lodges with views directly out to the coast and ‘horseshoe’ lodges with views over the beautiful surrounding countryside and 2,000 acres of National Trust Land that surrounds the park. The lodges really are a haven for relaxation and enjoying time with friends and families in a gorgeous location on this UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
The Holiday Parks are open, with the only facility remaining closed being the Little Fire Station Soft Play at Highlands End Holiday Park. We have a number of measures in place to provide a safe holiday in Dorset. For more information, please see our pre-arrival information.
Every lodge has doors opening out onto a spacious private decking with seating to make the most of the outdoors, the fantastic views and the stunning night skies. The lodges are open-plan with ample living space and modern design. Each lodge has a different style and feel, complimenting the coastal location.
Each lodge has a fully-fitted kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and all the cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment you could need. There is an en-suite double bedroom and a shared bathroom for the other bedroom(s). Linen and bedding are included and are made up for your arrival so you have everything you need to start enjoying your holiday the moment you arrive. Each lodge has allocated parking next to it or nearby.
The lodges are located just a stone’s throw from the beach and the award-winning Anchor Inn. On the park there is a park shop with a pizza takeaway and a selection of hot and cold drinks and food. There is a children’s play area, a picnic area with sea views and a fishing lake. The South West Coast Path passes the park, with spectacular and challenging walks to Golden Cap, the highest cliff on the south coast of England and Thorncombe Beacon, both with views over miles of coastline. It’s a great location for walkers, families and dog owners in particular.
Just a few miles from the park is the town of Bridport with its twice-weekly market, events and museum and the fishing village of West Bay with its golden cliffs, famous fish and chips and harbour. Also nearby is the iconic conical-shaped Colmer’s Hill with great views over the West Dorset countryside. Venture west and you will reach Charmouth with its fascinating Heritage Coast Centre and guided fossil walks on one of the best fossil beaches anywhere in the world. Known as the Pearl of Dorset, Lyme Regis is only 7 miles from the park and has a great selection of scenic walks, places to eat and independent shops.
The lodges at Golden Cap Holiday Park are perfect for enjoying a winter break in Dorset. It’s a great way to get away for the weekend and explore the Jurassic Coast in a different light, with exhilarating coastal walks, storm watching, fossil hunting and clear night skies just some of the highlights.
