The glamping accommodation is located in a beautiful Dorset valley on Golden Cap Holiday Park. Surrounded by 2,000 acres of National Trust land and the clifftops of Golden Cap and Thorncombe Beacon with their amazing views, there are plenty of footpaths and trails to explore. There are 3 excellent pubs within walking distance and just a 5 minute walk from your pod or tent is the beach of Seatown on the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
The glamping accommodation (other than the new Jurassic Escape Pods which have their own shower rooms), have use of the toilet and shower block with clean and well-maintained facilities including a laundry room (charges apply), a freezer for ice blocks, washing up sinks, free hairdryers and more. Also on the park, there is a park reception, pizza takeaway, park shop, fishing lake, picnic area and children’s play area.
Our Jurassic Escape Pods are our most luxurious glamping accommodation yet with compact living, a modern style, a shower room and 1 double bed & 2 single beds sleeping up to 4 people. There is an open-plan feel with a bright and airy living space, plus a fully glass front with french doors onto an integrated and covered veranda with decking area and outdoor furniture, perfect for al-fresco dining, evening drinks and for enjoying the views of the surrounding countryside and partial sea views.
There is a comfortable L shaped sofa, bluetooth speakers, an electric fire and wall mounted TV and a kitchen area with microwave, oven, grill and 4 ring hob, an under-counter fridge, kettle and sink. The rear dining area transforms at night with a wall mounted pull-down double bed and above the dining area is a high level fixed mezzanine floor with 2 single beds and ladder access. Please note this may not be suitable for very young children. There are plug sockets and USB sockets.
The generous washroom includes a large shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink with shaver socket. Up to 1 dog is welcome in select dog-friendly Jurassic Escape Pods and each Pod has allocated parking next to it for 1 car. The photos provided show a double bed on the upper level, but for us this will be 2 single beds.

Our most spacious glamping accommodation, the Safari Tents sleep up to 4 people, have an outdoor decking with seating, an open-plan living area with sofa and dining table, separate bedrooms with double and twin beds and a kitchenette with a fridge, kettle, 2 ring induction hob and cooking equipment. Electric, lighting and a heater are included. Bedding and linen are provided in Safari Tents and beds are made up for your arrival.

The Premier Camping Pods are unique, warm, modern and cosy. They have a gated decking area with seating, a covered porch, a double bed, double sofa bed, wardrobe, fold-down table and a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster, 2 ring electric hob and cooking equipment. Electric, lighting and a heater are included. Bedding and linen packs can be provided for an additional fee – see the Booking Information section.

The Classic Camping Pods provide a more rustic and basic glamping experience – close to camping but with a few essentials. The pods are secure, warm and cosy with a double bed and 2 single camp beds. There is also lighting, a heater, plug sockets, a boot store, a covered porch and a picnic bench outside. They are great for couples and young families. Bedding and linen packs can be provided for an additional fee – see the Booking Information section.

The Bell Tent at Golden Cap is a circular 5m tent all set up and ready to go. Sleeping up to 4 people, the tents are spacious and have a double bed and 2 single camp beds. There is plenty of headroom, plug sockets, lighting and a heater, as well as an outdoor picnic bench. Please beware that this is a tent and that warm clothing and blankets may be required on cold nights. Bedding and linen packs can be provided for an additional fee – see the Booking Information section.
Holidaymakers staying at Golden Cap Holiday Park are welcome to use facilities at nearby Highlands End Holiday Park (3.6 mile drive). There is Highlands End Leisure Club with a swimming pool, sauna and steam room (charges apply), Martin’s Bar & Restaurant with a children’s soft play (charges apply), sunday carvery, live sport, live music & events and more, as well as a Pitch ‘n’ Putt course (charges apply), a nature trail and children’s play areas.

Guests at all West Dorset Leisure Holiday’s parks are welcome to use the facilities at nearby Highlands End Holiday Park (3.6 mile drive), which includes Highlands End Leisure Club with swimming pool, sauna and steam room, pitch ‘n’ putt course, children’s soft play, nature trail and the dog friendly Martin’s Bar & Restaurant with sunday carvery, live sport, events, Costa Coffee and more.
