Bridport on Market Day

Bridport is well-known for its popular market which occurs each week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You’ll find a range of stalls selling local produce, crafts, bric-a-brac, and more, alongside Bridport’s many shops and café’s. We recommend getting your lunch from one of the street food stalls – Spice ‘N’ Rice sell tasty and very popular curries and other vendors sell wood-fired pizzas, Greek gyros and much more. There’s often live music from bands or performers in Bucky Doo Square in the centre of town. Please note, stalls and vendors do vary and you may find it quieter on rainy days! If you’re interested in the culture and history of Bridport, the town’s museum is a fantastic and interesting place to visit. Afterwards, if you’ve not picked up some exciting things to cook for your dinner at the market, why not head to Washingpool Farm Shop which is just north of Bridport, to pick up some quality local produce for a meal or BBQ that evening.
