A Bike Ride Through The Marshwood Vale
Don’t worry if you haven’t brought your bikes with you on holiday, as you can hire them from Bridport Cycle Hire in Symondsbury. From there, we suggest heading into the Marshwood Vale, as it’s fairly flat and the roads aren’t too busy, though you might encounter a few tractors. If you fancy it, Pilsdon Pen is less than 6 miles away, and if you lock your bikes at the bottom, there’s a fantastic view across the Vale and towards the sea from the top of this ancient hill fort. On your way back towards Bridport, you could stop at the Shave Cross Inn, a lovely pub in the heart of the Marshwood Vale, either for a quick drink or a bite to eat.
