A Day For The Grown Ups
If you’re not holidaying with children, you might want to make use of the adults only swim times at Highlands End Leisure Club, for a quieter, more peaceful swim experience. Check the timetable for more details. We’re spoilt for choice in West Dorset with lots of local alcohol producers, many of whom do informative tours. Depending on your tipple of choice, we’d suggest visiting Palmer’s Brewery in Bridport if you like beer, Dorset Nectar in Waytown if you prefer Cider, Furleigh Estate in Salway Ash if you’re more of a wine drinker, or if you’re more interested in Spirits, Black Cow Vodka in Childhay is well worth a visit. Drinks from all these local producers and many more can be found and sampled in Martin’s Bar & Restaurant. For dinner, we’d suggest The Olive Tree restaurant in Bridport, followed by cocktails at The Dark Bear, a quirky hidden rum bar.
