A short hike between two landmark
There’s almost too many famous landmarks in Dorset for us to count, but near the top of everyone’s list are Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
Both geological features draw tourists, photographers and geologists from around the world and therefore can be busy during the summer months, so we recommend getting there early. You can park near to both, and it’s short walk between the two, though the path does go up and then down a rather large cliff. If you want, you can continue the South West Coast Path for as far as you like in either direction.
We recommend taking a picnic as the pubs in Lulworth can get busy, and there are no facilities at Durdle Door, which is worth bearing in mind as this also means no toilets! Dogs are welcome, and we recommend keeping them on lead when it’s busy and whilst near cliff edges.
