If the weather’s not ideal, there’s still plenty to do in Dorset. Sandyholme is close to The Tank Museum, which is widely regarded as one of Dorset’s best attractions. Whilst there are sometimes outdoor displays, most of the museum can be enjoyed from inside, and has lots to interest both children and adults. After that, we suggest heading into the county town of Dorchester. You can enjoy a meal from Brewery Square, a development with many shops and restaurants. There’s an Odeon Cinema here, or you can head into the town and catch a film at the Plaza Cinema, a small, intimate theatre that’s popular with locals, with tickets at fantastic low prices.
