Bridport Museum
Visit Bridport Museum, redeveloped in 2017 to create exciting, modern and interactive displays. The museum is located in one of Bridport’s oldest buildings, in the heart of the historic rope and net making town.
Discover unique rope and netting collections with working machinery, beautiful roman jewellery, mystical amulets and fearsome armour, amazing fossils from the Jurassic Coast and Bridport’s dark history of disease, decay and death. There are fun family trails and activities, fascinating demonstrations and lively annual events and exhibitions.
Admission is free, the museum is open all year round other than a 6 week period in December/January, assistance dogs are welcome at the museum, there is a wide range of services for services for disabled visitors and there is parking nearby at South Street Car Park.
