The Tutankhamun Exhibition
This place is not usually open now.
The Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester is a spectacular recreation of Tutankhamun’s tomb and treasures. Spanning time itself, this internationally acclaimed exhibition has featured extensively on television throughout the world.
The Exhibition was established following the success of the treasures of Tutankhamun Exhibition at the British Museum in London. The major treasures are meticulously recreated, wherever possible, in their original materials and the ante-chamber and burial chamber have been accurately recreated together with all tomb furniture and treasures making it possible for you to experience the wonder of discovery and enter the tomb, just as Howard Carter did when he discovered it in 1922.
The Exhibition is open 7 days a week, other than a 2 week period in December. Children under 5 go free and the Exhibition is in the centre of the county town of Dorchester, near all the main car parks.
