Nothe Fort
Weymouth’s Historic Sea Fort on the Jurassic Coast – a Multi Award Winning Museum & Visitor Attraction
Nothe Fort is proud to be Weymouth’s number one museum and heritage attraction.
The history of the Nothe Fort spans over 160 years, from Victorian coastal defence to Local Authority nuclear bunker and now a museum. There is so much to do at the Fort! You can explore the maze of underground tunnels; visit our Victorian Gun Deck; sit on our impressive WW2 gun high up on our Ramparts; discover our secret underground Nuclear Bunker or simply enjoy the stunning 360 degree views of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
Nothe Fort pride themselves on a top-quality visitor experience with friendly volunteers on hand to help, and fun trails to keep the children busy. We recommend that you visit our fantastic cafe and enjoy the reasonably priced home made light lunches and cakes. They run a schedule of fun and educational events throughout the year, as well as hosting specialist community events, open air theatre and concerts.
Nothe Fort offers a free Annual Pass with every admission ticket.
Nothe Fort is situated on the edge of Weymouth’s historic harbour and enjoys commanding views of the Jurassic Coastline. View the beauty of the harbour for yourself on our Weymouth webcam. You can use it to check out the weather conditions before making a day trip this popular seaside resort.
