A fun day with the kids at West Bay

West Bay is a fantastic place to visit with young children. If you park in the main car park, they’ll certainly want to explore the large adventure playground, with multiple areas designed to be appropriate and safe for all ages of children. Another great place to visit is West Bay Discovery Centre, a small, award-winning attraction just off the beach with a range of displays and interactive exhibits that enable children to learn about the coastline here. After relaxing and playing on the beach for a while, why not head back towards the harbour and grab a traditional seaside fish and chips from one of the kiosks, followed by a locally-made ice cream from Baboo Gelato. We’d recommend walking along both of the piers that border each side of the harbour and provide fantastic views of the boats and the surrounding coastline. In the Summer holidays, West Bay is visited by a travelling fun fair with rides and stalls, which you won’t be able to keep children away from once it opens each afternoon!
