The Keep Military Museum

This place is not usually open now.

Showcasing over 300 years of history over 4 floors, The Keep is an informative museum for all ages to learn about what our soldiers went through during their battles. There are many interesting artefacts on display, presentations, and realistic battle environments for you to see, along with a chance for you to try on the uniforms.

Don’t forget at the end of your visit, head to the roof of the Museum for panoramic views of Dorchester and the Dorset countryside. The Keep is a family friendly museum, suitable for all ages. They aim to educate, inspire and honour the sacrifices made by the members of the Regiments. The displays cover four floors and take you on a 300 year journey through our military history.
