Visit The Fine Foundation Wild Chesil Centre next to Chesil Beach and the Fleet Lagoon. The family-friendly visitor centre has displays about Chesil Beach, local history and the unique wildlife in the area. The Fleet Lagoon is one of the most important Marine Protected Areas in the country. Events from the Wild Chesil Centre include birdwatching and exploring. Be sure to visit the wildlife-inspired gift shop.
Boat trips run on the “Fleet Explorer” during Spring and Summer. The Wild Chesil Centre is lcoated right next to the beach, on the road just before you cross from Weymouth to the Isle of Portland. There is no entry fee to the Wild Chesil Centre, there is ample pay & display parking outside, bicycle parking and dogs are welcome on leads. There is disabled parking next to the centre, a disabled toilet outside and the centre itself is wheelchair accessible. The boardwalk it suitable for wheelchairs and mobility vehicles, but does not extend over the beach.
