The George Inn, Chideock

A warm welcome awaits you at the friendly George Inn at Chideock, which serves excellent cask and bottled ales and great food. The George is one of many pubs in West Dorset owned by Palmer’s Brewery in nearby Bridport, which is the oldest thatched brewery in the UK and run regular brewery tours.

Dogs are welcome at the George, where there are two cosy bars with log fires, as well as an outside terrace with wood-fired pizza oven. The George is popular with both locals and holidaymakers. There is ample parking and the pub is a short walk along the bridleway or footpath from our Golden Cap Holiday Park.

The George won ‘Gold’ at the Taste of the West awards in 2020/2021, and was voted as the 2022 Travellers’ Choice by TripAdvisor – and we’re not surprised! After many years of serving the local community, the George is just as high quality and dependable as it always has been. We highly recommend enjoying a meal here!
