Chideock
Chideock is a small village in West Dorset. It is situated in between Bridport and Lyme Regis and less than a mile from Seatown and our Golden Cap Holiday Park. Despite its small size, this picturesque village has a number of historic attractions and some excellent dining options to check out during your camping or caravan holiday. There’s also a farm shop and Spar convenience store / post office where you can stock up on essentials for your break, as well as a bus stop for the Jurassic Coaster, which runs daily along the coastline.

Chideock is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty and surrounded by scenic countryside and farmland. Much of the village falls within a conservation area and is rich with flora and fauna. It is an excellent starting point for a number of scenic walks in the area, with something for all abilities to enjoy. Hike the very best of the Dorset Countryside, or head to the nearby cliffs for far-reaching views along the world-renowned Jurassic Coast.
One of our favourite walks heads to Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast. From the elevated position you can admire the incredible coastline in all its glory and look for marine life in the sea below. If you’d prefer to head in land there’s an excellent network of way-marked footpaths and bridleways to explore.
