West Bay Holidays
West Bay is an idyllic fishing village, situated on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. It is famed for its iconic sandstone cliffs and as the setting for the hit ITV drama, Broadchurch. Despite its small size, West Bay is a hit with families and couples who find plenty to see and do in the area. It’s the perfect destination for a short break or extended holiday on the South West Coast.
Our award-winning Dorset holiday parks are the perfect base to enjoy a West Bay holiday. We have a wide range of accommodation to choose from, including caravans, touring and camping pitches and luxury glamping options. Here we share some of our favourite things to see and do during a holiday in West Bay. We also highlight the facilities that can be enjoyed at our parks.

Seaside Activities
West Bay is a hive of activity, especially in the summer months. The quaint working harbour boasts a wide selection of colourful fishing pleasure boats that come and go throughout the day. You can easily while away a couple of hours sat on the harbour wall watching the crew land their catch. It’s the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
If you’d prefer to try something a bit different, why not partake in a traditional seaside activity such as fishing or crabbing? Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, take a Lyme Bay RIB ride or hire a canoe to explore the River Brit. Other attractions include the West Bay Discovery Centre, a summer funfair in the fields next to the river and tours of Palmers Brewery in nearby Bridport. There is a large children’s playground next to the main car park for the village on West Bay Road.

West Bay Holiday Parks
Our camping and caravan parks are perfectly positioned to enjoy a West Bay Holiday. Highlands End is our closest park and situated within walking distance of the West Bay and Eype. Its clifftop location boasts idyllic views across Lyme bay and along the Jurassic Coastline and many of the lodges and touring pitches enjoy a view over West Bay.
Highlands End is well suited to couples or families wanting a fun-filled break in Dorset. There is an exclusive leisure club with swimming pool, sauna and steam room as well as a pitch ‘n’ putt course, and fire station themed soft play. The South West Coast Path goes straight from the park, down the clifftop into West Bay and it’s just a 10 minute stroll.
Next door to Highlands End is Eype Beach which sits in the village of Eype, and is also a short walk, just over the cliff from West Bay.
Our other parks in the West Bay area, Graston Copse and Golden Cap, are both less than 10 minutes drive away.
