How far is it from West Bay to Weymouth?

West Bay is situated 18 miles from Weymouth. It takes around 40 minutes to make the journey by car, depending on traffic. Public transport is also available.

By car – We highly recommend taking the B3157 Jurassic Coast Road if travelling from West Bay to Weymouth by car. This scenic road has been voted one of the best in the UK and offers excellent sea views for much of the drive. You will pass through quaint villages along the way, including Burton Bradstock, West Bexington and Abbotsbury.

By bus – You can also make the journey by bus, if you’d prefer to use public transport. The x53 Jurassic Coaster Bus has a regular service throughout the year. Take a look at the First bus website for more information and up to date timetables.
