Our 6 Camping Meadows for 2021

Campsites in Dorset

Camping in Dorset has grown increasingly popular, with more people choosing to staycation in the UK this year. For 2021, we have camping pitches across 4 of our holiday parks, as well as 6 additional non-electric camping meadows, 3 of those new for 2021!

The meadows are spacious, so you can enjoy a covid-safe holiday with more privacy. At Graston Copse and Golden Cap Holiday Parks, we have provided additional toilet facilities and at Sandyholme Holiday Park, the new meadow has additional showers as well as toilets.

Here’s a guide to our 6 camping meadows available for the 2021 season. These non-electric pitches are a fantastic addition to our existing campsites in Dorset.

Sandyholme Holiday Park

At Sandyholme Holiday Park, close to Durdle Door and Weymouth, we have ‘the meadow’ to the north of the park, as well as the new Silver Acres meadow to the south. The new camping meadow features a brand new enclosed dog exercising area. Both meadows are non-electric and suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans.

The Silver Acres meadow has additional shower and toilet facilities available in the field, while the Meadow has use of the main toilet and shower facilities on the park.

Graston Copse Holiday Park

Similar to Sandyholme, Graston Copse Holiday Park benefits from the existing Lower Meadow camping field, as well as the (new for 2021) Higher Meadow! The meadows are located north and south of the woodland copse and either side of the toilet and shower block on the park. The new Higher Meadow field will have additional toilet facilities for peak season.

The woodland walk joins the 2 fields and you can venture on to the dog exercising meadow and riverside walk that meanders alongside the River Bride, with plenty of wildlife and quiet spots to sit. Burton Bradstock village and beach are just a 15-20 minute walk from the park, with award-winning beach cafe, coast path, village pubs and children’s play park.

Golden Cap Holiday Park

Golden Cap Holiday Park in Seatown, is home to our largest and most spacious camping meadow, known as Big Berries. This camping field is situated on the hillside, with beautiful views over the surrounding valley and even down to the sea. A toilet and shower facility is located just a few minutes walk from the field and there are additional toilets provided for the summer season.

A footpath runs past Big Berries, which runs to the village pubs and bus stop in Chideock, down the bridleway to Seatown Beach, which is just a few hundred metres away. There is also a footpath from the top of the field, leading out to the clifftop coast path and some spectacular views.

Highlands End Holiday Park

New for 2021 at Highlands End Holiday Park, is the Little Shepherd’s Camping Meadow. It is situated in a sheltered location to the east of the park, overlooking West Bay, the Jurassic Coast all the way down to Portland and around the surrounding valley of the River Brit. The field is close to one of the toilet and shower blocks on the park and is accessed through a new driveway from the existing touring area.

There are around 25 pitches available for the summer season. The pitch ‘n’ putt course is nearby and it’s a short walk down to the fishing village of West Bay and to the coast path overlooking Eype Beach.
