Poole’s premier attraction, Upton Country Park is 140 acres of parkland with Upton House, a grand Grade II listed Georgian Mansion. You can enjoy the wildlife along the shoreline of Poole Harbour – the world’s second largest natural harbour after Sydney.

There is so much to see and do at Upton Country Park. There is a tea rooms with tempting cakes, a children’s soft play and the Walled Garden with plenty of open space and well managed beds & borders. There is a Woodland Play Trail with natural timber play structures and is part of a woodland walk. Upton House is regularly opened to the public throughout the year, with guided tours from knowledgeable volunteers. Visit the website to find out the dates of this year’s open days. There is also a front lawn for ball games and a summer splash fountain. Pick up a map at the tea room for an orienteering course around the grounds. Explore the miles of footpaths by foot on or by bike, or perhaps even with a Segway Tour!

Admission to Upton Country Park is free, 7 days a week and the park is open all year round. Car parking charges apply. Dogs are welcome on leads and there is a dog wash for a self service wash and dry for muddy dogs. There is even a ‘dog walkers’ car park with 24 spaces and 2 hours free parking with direct access to an off-lead space.
