The Smuggler’s Inn
This place is not usually open now.
The Smugglers Inn is deep-rooted in history, and you’ll feel it from every beam in the building. Built in the 13th century, the Smugglers Inn is located right by the sea in Osmington Mills and was one of the main landing places for smuggled goods in the 17th Century.
The pretty thatched roof country pub sits on the clifftops above the rugged, unspoilt beach below. With glorious views of the Isle of Portland and the English Channel from the large outdoor terrace and garden, you can enjoy hearty pub classics such as delicious Sunday Roasts and locally brewed Badger Beers, with all the family including your pooch.
Today, the smuggling has stopped and you can enjoy a cosy place to rest your head in one of the four en-suite bedrooms, or simply relax with a drink or a bite to eat by the sea.
