The Ilchester Arms, Symondsbury

closed now icon This place is not usually open now.

The Ilchester Arms, Symondsbury, is a 15th century thatched house that really shows off its heritage; featuring huge oak beams and a large open fireplace in the bar area, providing a perfect place to relax and enjoy some local refreshments, or perhaps a game of skittles.

The pub offers a fresh, locally-sourced menu and has selection of ales from the local Palmer’s Brewery (brewing in Bridport since 1794, they also offer brewery tours), in addition to other quality brands and a variety of wines and spirits. The Ilchester Arms sources their ingredients from local companies, creating a menu that invites both Holiday-Makers and Locals.

It is recommended to call the pub for a reservation as they are often busy, dogs are welcome inside and in the pub’s beer garden. Parking is also situated on the pub premises.

Closest to our Golden Cap and Highlands End Holiday Parks, this pub can be accessed on the route of the West Dorset Three Peaks Challenge.
