The George Inn at West Bay is a Palmer’s Brewery Pub located in the centre of the harbour. It has been a coaching inn since the turn of the 19th century and boasts a 50 cover restaurant, 2 bars and a terrace overlooking the River Brit and bustling West Bay harbour.

They serve fine ales from the local Palmer’s Brewery (who have been brewing in Bridport since 1794 and offer brewery tours), in addition to other quality brands and an extensive wine collection. The George uses local ingredients to make the menu inviting for locals and holidaymakers and home-cooked dishes and fresh seafood dishes are their speciality. There is also a great selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices and a separate children’s menu.

It is recommended to call to make a reservation, particularly for the popular Sunday carvery. Dogs are welcome in both bars and there is a choice of car parks nearby around West Bay. The George Inn is a great location to enjoy refreshments after an enjoyable walk around West Bay with its beaches and harbour on the Jurassic Coast and is located close to our Highlands End, Golden Cap and Graston Copse Holiday Parks with great accommodation and facilities.

  • The Most Magical Campsite

We have just come back from the most magical few days staying at Highlands End. In fact, it was so good we extended our stay by a few days whilst on park. We are new to campsites and this was beyond my expectations

  • Beautiful weekend away

This park is in a wonderful location. The local village is beautiful and only a 15 min walk along the river. The beach is then another 15 minutes along - again a beautiful walk. We were blessed with amazing weather so we spent the afternoon on Hive Beach.
