Flowers Barrow

Flower’s Barrow is an iron age hillfort and clifftop, standing at 160 metres above Worbarrow Bay on the Jurassic Coast. The hilltop has amazing views across the bay and even on towards the Isle of Portland and Weymouth Bay, as well as east to Poole Harbour. Views inland extend over the Lulworth Ranges and wide expanses of heathland.

Access to Flower’s Barrow is only possible by foot. Either from the car park and viewpoint at Whiteway Hill, about a 30 minute fairly flat walk, or from the car park at Tyneham Village, via a steep 40 minute walk up the coast path next to Worbarrow Bay. If you are lucky you will see plenty of wildlife along the way, including deer.

As the footpaths in this area go through the Lulworth Ranges, you must stick to the marked paths at all times and it is recommended to keep dogs on a leads. The nearest toilets are available at the Tyneham car park, which has no fixed charge but donations are welcomed.

Please note that access to the Lulworth Ranges, which includes Flowers Barrow and Tyneham Village, is only available on select days – usually weekends and school holidays. Details can be found on the Gov.uk Website.
