Eype Beach (West) Webcam
Take in the spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast from our Highlands End webcam, positioned high on the clifftop overlooking Eype Beach and the coastline towards Lyme Regis. From this elevated viewpoint, you can watch the ever-changing scenery of the sea, cliffs and countryside, with the South West Coast Path winding along the coastline below.
There’s always something different to see from the Eype webcam. On a bright summer’s day, look out across Lyme Bay and watch walkers making their way along the coast path, while paragliders can sometimes be seen taking off from the cliffs. On calmer days, keep an eye out for boats and paddleboards out on the water. As the sun sets, the view really comes into its own, with the coastline towards Lyme Regis providing a beautiful backdrop for golden skies and sunsets over the sea.
The webcam looks out towards Eype Beach, a secluded stretch of the Jurassic Coast tucked below the village of Eype. The beach is popular for dogs (dog friendly all-year-round), fossil hunting, walking and enjoying the scenery, while the Coast Path provides spectacular walks in both directions. Follow it west towards Thorncombe Beacon for far-reaching coastal views, or head east towards West Bay, where you’ll find its picturesque harbour, golden cliffs, places to eat and the iconic coastline made famous by Broadchurch.
The view can be just as impressive when the weather changes. Watch dark clouds roll in from Lyme Bay, dramatic waves breaking along the coastline or the cliffs disappearing into mist. The webcam is also a useful way to check the conditions before heading out for a coastal walk or beach visit – and a great excuse to keep coming back throughout the year to see how this beautiful corner of Dorset changes with the seasons.
