Baby Duck born at Sandyholme

Sandyholme Holiday Park have welcomed their first baby duck of the season to their Wildlife Lake!

An egg was rescued by the park wardens and looked after until it was born last week. It is a Muscovy duckling and the daughter of one of the Holiday Home Owners on the park has chosen the name ‘Daisy.’

You can follow Daisy’s progress on the Sandyholme Holiday Park Facebook Page and eventually she will be released back into the Wildlife Lake when she is ready. The wardens have been continuing to improve this area with more planting, since some landscaping work was done over the winter.
