Winsford Weekend Renaissance Performance
A group of singers and players of renaissance instruments, including viols, flutes, recorders of various sizes, curtals, sackbuts and lute will be performing at Eype Centre for the Arts. Pieces will include works by Orlandus Lassus, a contemporary of Palestrina, Cipriano de Rore, both major composers of the period, as well as works by Palestrina himself and other lesser known but highly skilled figures such as de Kerle and Pevernage.
They will be practicing all weekend and guests are welcome to come and watch their final run through around 12:30 on Sunday, with refreshments provided.
