The Station Kitchen

This place is not usually open now.

An award winning quirky station carriage turned into a restaurant serving a variety of seafood, steak and burger dishes.

This unique restaurant is a must-visit in the West Bay area. The original carriage was previously a hospital coach which was used in World War 1. The owners of The Station Kitchen sourced some train track, parked it at the station and converted the carriage into a restaurant. The peculiar eatery has garnered praise from British television legends Martin Clunes and Hugh Laurie, as well as Masterchef critic and Telegraph reviewer William Sitwell.

Sitwelll said, “The Station Kitchen is a happy place, with great service, and is a breath of fresh air. We stepped off the train and on to the platform having sumptuously, deliciously and blissfully gone absolutely nowhere”.

We highly recommend paying The Station Kitchen a visit.
