Lyme Regis Fossils

Lyme Regis Fossils provide guided, private fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast with local author and publisher Nigel Clarke, James Thomas and Victoria Crooks.
We always find fossils. The walks last about two hours and there is an initial talk about the fossils and then onto the beach. The walks are suitable for up to 10 people and take place from Charmouth Beach or Lyme Regis Beach.

Nigel is an established author and publisher with numerous Jurassic Coast publications and regularly contribute to magazines and journals as well as appearing on both the BBC and ITV. A former member of the local Marine Coastguard team and RNLI, Nigel is also an expert on local shipwrecks in Lyme Bay so has plenty of experience to share relating to the Jurassic Coast.

Dogs are welcome, but please contact Nigel beforehand. Any fossils found on the beach are yours to keep. If an interesting or rare specimen is found then I would encourage you to take the fossil to the Lyme Regis Museum where the fossil will be photographed and recorded. In exceptional cases the details are forwarded to The Natural History Museum in London. Many such finds have been donated to the local and national collections.
