Lake Frances Fishing
If fishing is your thing, there is a beautiful fishing lake at Golden Cap Holiday Park, which is open to guests of all WDLH parks. Lake Frances covers 0.5 acres, is surrounded by tall trees and the cost is £4.50 for a peg, per day.
There are carp, silver fish and other species in the lake – please release them safely after catching. If you take any photos, we’d love to see – please email them to our Marketing Team or enter them into our photo competition and we may display on our social media.
To use the lake, please visit the Park Reception to pay and a fishing licence is required – these are available from Chideock Post Office or the Gov.uk website.
There are great fishing opportunities locally including on Seatown Beach next to the park and other beaches such as West Bexington and Cogden.
