Hot air balloon rides in Dorset

The balloon rides start at Henstridge Airfield in the North of the county. From here you will float with the wind to South Dorset or across the Blackmore Vale and into Somerset or Wiltshire, depending on conditions.

The elevated position gives riders a birds eye view of the countryside below. Watch as patchwork farmland and rolling hills pass beneath you. Keep your eyes peeled for towns, villages and iconic Dorset landmarks, such as Shaftsbury Abbey. In the far distance, you might just be able to make out Lyme Bay and Chesil Beach!

How to book

Bookings must be made in advance via the Aerosaurus Baloons website. Typically trips run at dusk or dawn during the spring and summer and at day time during the winter. You can book for a single person, or charter the entire balloon for your family and friends.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion there are a number of optional extras available, such as champagne! Enquire about customising your trip at the time of booking.
