Set in the small village of Eype, just down the road from Highlands End Holiday Park, near Bridport. Eype’s Mouth Country Hotel is a family-run 17 bedroom hotel with bar open to the public. With superb sea views and only a few minutes’ walk to the beach, the venue occupies a unique position on the Heritage Coastline. This stunning location provides the opportunity to walk along the Coast Path with much to explore and observe for the keen rambler, ornithologist, anthropologist or geologist.

The Smuggler’s Bar is a fine old-world cellar bar open during the summer months only. It is ideal if you are visiting the area just for the day or staying locally and are looking for a drink or meal. The bar has an array of fine beers. The local Palmers Brewery (Bridport) provides an excellent traditional real ale with their IPA, whilst a guest real ale is often available. The Smugglers Bar is open from Good Friday until the end of October each year. Opening hours are 11am (12pm Sundays) until 10pm. A Bar Food Menu is served 12pm to 2pm and 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Overlooking Lyme Bay and the beautiful coastal path, the Restaurant offers a three course table d’hôte menu with plenty of choice for each course. Changed daily, the menu is created by Chef to take advantage of the locally produced foods and includes specialities such as locally caught fish, superb meats and fruit and vegetable farm produce from just north of Bridport. To see the menu for the restaurant (bookable in advance) and bar (no need to book), visit the website.

  • The Most Magical Campsite

We have just come back from the most magical few days staying at Highlands End. In fact, it was so good we extended our stay by a few days whilst on park. We are new to campsites and this was beyond my expectations

  • Beautiful weekend away

This park is in a wonderful location. The local village is beautiful and only a 15 min walk along the river. The beach is then another 15 minutes along - again a beautiful walk. We were blessed with amazing weather so we spent the afternoon on Hive Beach.
