Where is Bridport Harbour?

Bridport doesn’t have a harbour. The nearest harbour is at West Bay – a small fishing village just 1 mile away. There is pay and display car parking close to the harbour or you can enjoy a scenic 30 minute walk from Bridport town centre along the river.

West Bay Harbour is a hive of activity, especially in the summer months. There are a selection of yachts and motor boats moored in the harbour as well as commercial fishing boats and charter boats offering fishing trips and rib rides. The harbour drys out at low water.

There is a walk way around the harbour, with benches to sit back and watch the comings and goings. There are a number of food kiosks serving fish and chips, ice cream and fresh sea food. It’s also popular for families to go crabbing here.
