VW Campervan

Look at this… We have bought ourselves an old VW Campervan – a camping legend over the last 60 years.

James has admired VW campers for some time and gradually persuaded the rest of the family that during the 40th anniversary of Highlands End, it was a good idea. So we are now the proud owners of this beauty which has the number plate  FUY 61S.

Steve Bowles a local coach trimmer and upholsterer who is passionate about Volkswagons has already given us ideas about restoring and improving the camper.

I am not sure how far we are going to travel with the camper, but fellow VW owners are already stopping on the way into the park and exchanging ideas and stories with the boys. All we need is a couple of surf boards and we will be on our way to the beach!
