Record amount raised for the Jurassic Coast Trust!

11 December 2019Holiday Park News

Thanks to the kind donations of our visitors and Holiday Home Owners, we have raised nearly £8,000 for the Jurassic Coast Trust through 2019 – a whopping 20% of the total raised by the Jurassic Coast Trust’s 70+ business partners.

A Lead Business Partner and one of the first to join the scheme, West Dorset Leisure Holiday’s customers can make a small optional donation of £1 or less when booking their stay at one of our Holiday Parks. Thanks to your kind donations, you have helped raise over £81,000 since 2008!

Guy Kerr (Programme Manager for Engagement and Partnerships at the Jurassic Coast Trust), Martin Cox (WDLH Managing Director), Lucy Culkin (Chief Executive of the Jurassic Coast Trust)

The Jurassic Coast Trust is the independent charity responsible for protecting and engaging people with the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The Trust is strongly focused on helping people understand and enjoy the Site. If you want to get involved with the Jurassic Coast Trust, you can become a member.

Martin Cox from West Dorset Leisure Holidays said, “It is great to be able to contribute to the Jurassic Coast Trust. We are proud to have passed the £80,000 fundraising mark. We are very lucky to live in West Dorset and for our visitors to be able to give something back to the local area is an added benefit for us all.”

Guy Kerr, Programme Manager for Engagement and Partnerships at the Jurassic Coast Trust said, “Having the support of West Dorset Leisure Holidays is absolutely critical in delivering our charitable aims of protecting and educating people about the Jurassic Coast. The amount that they have raised from their guests, thousands of holidaymakers who love and enjoy the coastline, is truly inspirational. Reaching the £80,000 milestone is a tremendous achievement and an example to businesses coast-wide.”

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.
