Our 2019 competition winners!

During 2019, we have been running a number of competitions – our Photo Competition, our Feedback Form Competition, our Dorset Diamond Awards and our Highlands End Nature Trail competition. Thank you to everyone that took part in these and here are the competition winners…

Feedback Form

After staying with us, we send an email a couple of days later with details of how to give us feedback through an online form. This is really useful to us in identifying ways that we can improve, as well as for passing on positive feedback to members of the team. Hundreds of you completed the form this year and we have selected a winner at random from all of the entries, so congratulations to Mark Lewendon who wins a £250 voucher to spend on a 2020 holiday!

Photo Competition

During 2019, we have been running our annual Photo Competition and we had nearly 500 entries to this. Over the weekend, we managed to come to agreement over a shortlist of just 12 photos and now we are asking you to vote for the overall winner, who will receive a £250 holiday voucher to spend on a 2020 holiday. Our 12 photos will be posted on our West Dorset Leisure Holidays Facebook Page on the evening of Monday 2nd December and we’d like you to take a look and ‘like’ your favourite. The winner will be the photo with the most ‘likes’ on Friday 6th December at midday!

Highlands End Nature Trail

Another activity and competition new for 2019, was our Nature Trail at Highlands End Holiday Park. The Nature Trail has been hugely popular and successful, allowing you to explore the beautiful countryside and coast path surrounding the park, while visiting areas like the new Bee & Wildflower Bank, the Bug Hotel, Mower’s Mead Wildlife Lake and the view over Eype Beach from the clifftop.

Along the way, the idea was to spot and write down the letters written on the signs, before unscrambling them to reveal the words. Entries were then put into a ballot box at the end of the trail at Martin’s Bar & Restaurant. We have selected a winner at random, so congratulations to Mr Lyons who wins a £100 voucher for a 2020 holiday! The Nature Trail has proved such a success, that we will be adding something similar at Golden Cap Holiday Park and Graston Copse Holiday Park for 2020.

Dorset Diamond

Finally, in each Welcome Pack this year, you will have seen a “Dorset Diamond” card. New for 2019, the idea behind this was to ask you to nominate members of the team that have exceeded your expectations with their customer service, friendliness and helpfulness. We had nearly 400 nominations, which was fantastic! On Saturday night, we held our team Christmas Party at Martin’s Bar & Restaurant and presented a number of awards off the back of your nominations.
