Axe Valley Wildlife Park
This place is not usually open now.
Axe Valley Wildlife Park is a great family friendly attraction just across the border in East Devon. Situated in the beautiful Axe Valley, the Wildlife Park is a small and friendly farm with animals of all sizes, including flamingoes, zebra, meerkats, tortoises, pigmy goats and more. There are some great animal encounter sessions including handling a snake, tarantula or cockroach and hand-feeding birds. There are children’s play areas, lovely shady spots for a picnic, a cafe, shop and other facilities.
It’s smaller than your typical zoo but you can get closer to the animals, there’s still a great variety and it is quieter. It is particularly suitable for under 12s, but good for people of all ages. Allow 2 to 3 hours to explore the park. There are refreshment points, accessible toilets, baby changing areas and picnic areas.
