Sturminster Newton Mill, still in good working order, provides a unique opportunity to journey back to a simpler time, when you and your family can discover the age-old secrets of harnessing natural power amidst the tranquil beauty of the real Dorset Countryside.  Informal guided tours by out Mill Supervisors are highly praised features of visits to the Mill. This is one of the few remaining flourmills on the River Stour where there has been milling on this site for over 1,000 years.

We still mill flour regularly through the season and sell it in the Mill, Museum and some local shops. The Mill is open every Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday from Saturday 30th March to Monday 30th September.  Entry is £4 for adults and £1 for children with free parking. Visits by parties are welcome and these can be arranged to take place outside normal opening hours, by prior arrangement with the Mill Supervisors (contact Peter Loosmore on 01747 854355).

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.

  • Fantastic Park

10 out of 10 is not enough for this Holiday Park. We have been here 3 times and we love it more and more every time. The park has all you need, with some pitches overlooking the sea and a great restaurant.
