Admire the Jurassic Coast in all its glory from an elevated position aboard the Jurassic Skyline. Located on Weymouth’s Pleasure Pier, this fantastic family friendly attraction offers visitors magnificent views from above.

Take your seat and look out over the coastline as the glass fronted gondola rises to a height of 53 meters. At the top, the gondola performs two full rotations offering panoramic views from the floor to ceiling windows.¬†On a clear day you can enjoy far reaching views along Jurassic coast towards Lulworth in the east and Portland to the west. This excellent vantage point will also give you a birds eye view of Weymouth’s famed sandy beach and the passing boats as they enter the historic harbour.

Stunning views across Weymouth Bay

During the 15 minute experience a friendly member of staff will be on hand throughout and an informative commentary will be played. This explains your surroundings and various points of interest to look out for. The narrative will also give an insight into the history of the area from the Jurassic period to the present day.

For a small extra cost you can purchase a colour information guide to find out more about the area. There is also the opportunity to pose for a fun family photograph, which you can purchase to commemorate your visit.

Tickets for the Jurassic Skyline can be purchased on their own or combined with a trip to the Sealife Centre. If visiting the Sealife Centre you can take the land train along the Georgian promenade taking in the wonderful beach during the journey. Alternatively there is a pay and display parking available behind Weymouth Pavillion.

Unfortunately the Jurassic Skyline is not dog friendly. Please note prams cannot be taken in the viewing pod, however they can be safely stored at the bottom.
