What is there to do at West Bay?
West Bay is a picturesque fishing village on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. It is situated on the outskirts of Bridport and within easy reach of West Dorset Leisure Holidays Park’s. There are 3 picturesque beaches at West Bay, making it the perfect destination for a fun filled family day out. It’s well worth a visit in the summer or winter months.
East Beach is the most iconic of Bridport’s 3 beaches. It is situated to the east of the harbour and boasts striking sandstone cliffs that feature heavily in ITV’s famed drama, Broadchurch.
The town centres around a quaint working harbour where you can see fishing boat and yachts. The harbour is flanked by lots of kiosks offering delicious food and drink, including fish and chips and ice cream.
There are a handful of shops to peruse during your visit alongside an arcade and some excellent pubs and restaurants.
In terms of activities you can enjoy fishing trips, paddle board hire, row boat and canoe hire and adrenaline fuelled rib rides.
The West Bay Discovery Centre is also a popular choice with families. There’s also an award-winning outdoor play park.
