Winter improvements at Golden Cap

13 February 2020Holiday Park News

We had a smile on our faces this week watching our newest range of self-catering accommodation being craned into position on at Golden Cap Holiday Park.

Our new ‘jurassic escape pods’ will be available to hire from mid-April with fantastic West Dorset countryside views and some with partial sea views. The team did a great job siting all 6 Pods in one day and the decking company will shortly be fitting the sun decks.  The last job will be to tarmac the new road, which we hope to have done by the end of the month but storm Ciara and now Dennis are causing us some delays to our well thought out plan!

Golden Cap has a large choice of accommodation and pitch types – lodges, deluxe caravans, caravans, safari tents, bell tents, premier camping pods, classic camping pods and jurassic escape pods.

We also have nearly 60 pitches available for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, trailer tents and tents, with a choice of hard-base, gravel and grass pitches. These are all located just a few minutes walk from Seatown Beach on the Jurassic Coast and have great facilities included, such as hot showers, toilets, freezers for ice blocks, a laundry, hairdryers, under-cover washing up areas, a chemical disposal point and a new larger and more user-friendly motorhome service point.

Other works on the park this winter include a large upgrade to our electricity supply upgrade as we prepare for the increase in electric cars on the park, five brand new caravans available for hire, an extensive tree and hedge maintenance program and another brand new category of accommodation – our deluxe caravans. These are more spacious, occupy prime positions on the park and include Wi-Fi and passes for the Leisure Club at Highlands End Holiday Park.

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.

  • Fantastic Park

10 out of 10 is not enough for this Holiday Park. We have been here 3 times and we love it more and more every time. The park has all you need, with some pitches overlooking the sea and a great restaurant.
