The NEW Martin’s Smoky Fire Truck!

14 April 2021Holiday Park News

Introducing Martin’s Smoky Fire Truck, the new takeaway food option at Golden Cap Holiday Park! We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (4pm to 8pm) and Saturday (12pm to 8pm) & Sundays (12pm to 6pm), serving burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, fries, a roast bap (Sunday only), as well as hot, soft and alcoholic drinks.

Pre-orders for collection, can be placed on our new website ordering system, or you’re welcome to turn up, place an order and wait. We are open to all, whether you’re a guest staying on the park, visiting Seatown, or a local resident.

If you’ve been to Martin’s Bar & Restaurant at Highlands End Holiday Park, you’ll recognise the continuation of the theme from the fire engine memorabilia and engines on display in the venue there – one of England’s largest and most important private collections, built up over the last 30 years by Martin Cox, a member of the family who own West Dorset Leisure Holidays and who was previously a Retained Leading Firefighter with the Dorset Fire and Rescue Service.

If you look closely, you’ll see that the character sitting in the driver’s seat is Martin Cox himself! There’s also a new seating area with picnic benches, if you wish to enjoy your food straight away. Alternatively, take it back to your accommodation, to the sea view picnic area at the front of the park, or to Seatown Beach (2 min walk). Please dispose of all packaging materials properly – they are all recyclable.

Many thanks to Creative Solutions for bringing our idea to life with the fantastic graphics.

Martin’s Smoky Fire Truck is located in the centre of the park, between the caravan and lodge holiday homes for hire and the touring and camping pitches in Red Hill View. Opening dates, times and menu are subject to change.

What our guests say

  • Very peaceful Park

The wildlife is stunning, we were visited by the ducks on a regular basis which was lovely. Our visit was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back in the future!

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.

  • Fantastic Park

10 out of 10 is not enough for this Holiday Park. We have been here 3 times and we love it more and more every time. The park has all you need, with some pitches overlooking the sea and a great restaurant.
