Reasons to visit Dorset this winter!

Peace and quiet
The main advantage of winter of course is to avoid the crowds and enjoy the space and solitude of these beautiful places at your own pace. Many of Dorset’s best attractions are also open at this time of year.

Winter storms
The Jurassic Coast is dramatic and impressive on warm summer days, so just imagine it during winter storms! Wrap up warm, blow away the cobwebs and recharge the batteries with exhilarating walks
along the South West Coast Path.

Fossil Hunting
When the storms pass, this is the perfect opportunity to get down to the beaches and see what you can find! The Jurassic Coast boasts some of the best fossil hunting opportunities anywhere in the world and winter storms wash them right onto the beaches!

The benefit of fewer daylight hours is that sunrises are later and sunsets are earlier, meaning you can enjoy both! It also means that you can take advantage of the dark night skies here in Dorset. The colder drier air with longer nights means clearer skies for stargazing and, if you get the timing right, a meteor shower can be an incredible spectacle!

What our guests say

  • Very peaceful Park

The wildlife is stunning, we were visited by the ducks on a regular basis which was lovely. Our visit was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back in the future!

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.

This is by far the best Holiday Park I have been to. The views are breath taking with easy access to the beach and nice coastal walks to West Bay. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in a stunning location, then this is the place to come.

  • Fantastic Park

10 out of 10 is not enough for this Holiday Park. We have been here 3 times and we love it more and more every time. The park has all you need, with some pitches overlooking the sea and a great restaurant.
