A blog from Sandyholme Holiday Park

24 August 2018Holiday Park News

A big hello from Sandyholme Holiday Park, yes it’s our turn to blog and what a wonderful 2018 Season we are all having. We would like to welcome all our Guests/Owners new & returning back to Sandyholme. A lot has been happening at Sandyholme over the last 2 seasons and it has been nice hearing all of your comments and support about the ongoing progress of the park. So if you have not yet been back to Sandyholme this season I imagine you would like to know what has been happening.

We have been busy over the winter months with some new fencing around the children’s play area and landscaping and this will still be ongoing over the next few months with some more additions.

The shower cubicles & showers with new pumps were also upgraded over the closed season and have made a great difference to the facilities. We also had some new arrivals which we all know the wardens are Quakers about! Below are the ducklings at 1 week old.

Holiday Park

Yes we had 4 little Ducklings born which were different breeds but all made it and were hand reared for 5 weeks, one even spent her first night in a little box all wrapped up in the wardens lodge as she was a little poorly but now happy and strong and they were all introduced back into the pond area.

The same ducklings at 6 weeks old exploring outside. Last Month we were asked if anyone could rehome two Muscovy Ducklings only 3 months old which of course we jumped at the chance to rehome them and they are also happy swimming around and making friends with our lavenders. So you never know we may have more ducklings next year!

It is nice to see everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we are having and more guests returning or trying out camping, glamping & touring and all the children making new friends and exploring the beautiful outdoors on the park. Every Thursday at 4.45pm we have the Fish & Chip catering van Surf and Turf. It was pizzas last year but this year it’s the UK favourite Fish & Chips.

Our hire accommodation has been very popular this year again and customers are already booking up for next year. Yes all the bookings are now live for 2019 so please call the Bookings Team on 01308 426947 or you can book online only a deposit required to secure.

Our Holiday Homes for sale have been selling fast this season and it has been lovely welcoming new owners to the park and them making new friends with our exciting Holiday Home Owners. We were very excited to welcome a brand new Europa Maple (priced at £29,995) to the park a few weeks ago, which has already sold to new owners!

We do however have 2 pre-owned Caravan Holiday Homes still for sale – the Willerby Rio and the Willerby Salisbury, both priced at £15,950.

It has not just been caravan sales that have been good for us, we have also had some very happy Touring customers who have loved the park so much they have decided to stay and took up the advantage of our last 2 Seasonal Pitches that we had left at Sandyholme. So a full house once again and hope they enjoy the rest of this season with us.

As the season settles in we have had many visits from different organisations this year we had the ACSI which is Europe’s leading camping site specialist who were very happy with the progress of the park and updated pictures for their website as we get a lot of European Touring & camping customers. And also the AA quality inspector both was very pleased with the improvements that are continuing to be achieved at Sandyholme. The new improved signage on the park entrance is looking good & more customers are exploring the park now they know we also accommodate, Touring for caravans, motorhomes and camping as well as the Holiday Homes.

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.

This is by far the best Holiday Park I have been to. The views are breath taking with easy access to the beach and nice coastal walks to West Bay. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in a stunning location, then this is the place to come.
