£2500 for Julia’s House!
On Saturday the 28th November, we hosted our annual Christmas Maker’s Market in Martin’s Bar & Restaurant. Once again it was a fun, festive day that we were proud to organise and host. We were joined by over 40 stalls, where local businesses sold homemade crafts, art, jewellery and seasonal treats. Lots of people came and enjoyed some festive food and drink, picked up some fantastic and thoughtful Christmas gifts and supported a worthy cause in the process. All adults paid a £1 entry fee, and along with our stallholders’ pitch fees and a donation from us, we managed to raise a fantastic £2500 for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice!
Julia’s House is an incredible organisation that provides more than just end-of-life care for sick children across Dorset and Wiltshire, but also a wide range of services and support for their families. We spoke to representatives from Julia’s House as we presented them with their cheque, and learnt more about the vital work they do, supporting families in need. You can find out more and donate by visiting their website.
Next year’s Maker’s Market will take place on the 16th November 2024. If you’re interested in joining a stall, contact us here.
