£100,000 raised for the Jurassic Coast Trust

14 December 2021Holiday Park News

Since 2008, West Dorset Leisure Holidays have been fundraising for the Jurassic Coast Trust, a fantastic organisation who do vital work to protect the incredible coastline and environment here.
Through a small, optional donation added onto our bookings, our holiday guests have helped us to raise £100,000. This is a brilliant milestone to reach and we are so grateful for all our guests who have helped us raise this much! We are also pleased to have helped inspire over 70 other businesses along the coast to start fundraising themselves and join the Jurassic Coast Trust as Business Partners.
Martin Cox, Managing Director at WDLH said, “It is a point of immense pride to have reached the £100,000 fundraising mark for the Jurassic Coast Trust. Take up of our donation scheme amongst our guests is stronger than ever, which demonstrates how committed our visitors are towards looking after the natural environment that they so enjoy.”
Guy Kerr, Business Development Manager at the Jurassic Coast Trust said, “Having the support of West Dorset Leisure Holidays is absolutely critical in delivering our core charitable aims of protecting and educating people about the Jurassic Coast. The amount raised represents thousands of contributions from individual holidaymakers who love and enjoy the coastline, and is truly inspirational. Reaching the £100,000 milestone is a tremendous achievement and a shining example to businesses coast-wide.”
So, to say thank you to our generous guests, together we are running a competition to win a family holiday in a luxury lodge at either Highlands End Holiday Park or Golden Cap Holiday Park for a weekend in February. As always, guests staying in our lodges receive complimentary wifi and use of the pool at Highlands End Leisure Club.

  • 5 out of 5 isn't enough!

This is simply our favorite touring park along the south coast. The location couldn't be better with views to die for and an abundance of fresh sea air. The park is spic and span and extremely well kept with very friendly staff.
